We are even mandated to obey corrupt rulers as long as they do not prohibit us from practicing our religion. Many scholars in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf have said that the uprisings in the Middle East (Arab Spring) are sinful. Is that why the old geezers in Egypt, Yemen, Libya, etc., were in power for all those decades?
